Description

The Release Management team manages the release lifecycle for all code changes in non-prod and production environments. The RMO manages the process and planning of all code deployments: scheduling and controlling deployments through the test, build deploy project cycle and across all non-prod and production environments.

Essential Job Functions

    • The release manager is responsible for managing the release process, which includes:
    • Planning for the release
    • Ensuring Quality Assurance (QA) and user acceptance tests have been completed
    • Develops and reviews detailed release plans based on IBOPs submitted for each RFC
    • There will be two levels of release implementation plan reviews:
    • Onsite RMO team reviews the plan with the SMEs
    • Second round of implementation plan review will be performed by the offshore RMO Team. The implementation plan will be baselined only after the before mentioned two rounds of review are completed.
    • Coordinates all project teams associated with the release
    • Ensures that releases are implemented according to the approved timeline, with system integrity and availability maintained.
    • Manages post implementation review performed after the release and applies lessons learned from previous releases.
    • Maintain monthly dashboard of reporting metrics and communications

Requirements

  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Strong experience and knowledge of change management & release principles / methodologies
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Process-focused and detail-oriented
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in constantly changing situations
  • Ability to filter opinions; does not reflexively react
  • 5+ years Release Management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Change Management.
  • ITIL Training
